About Me

Who is Yin Yang Yulia?

Hi, I am Julia and the face behind Yin Yang Yulia. Believe it or not, but I grew up on an island called “Sylt” in Northern Germany. After living in many different countries I decided finally to live in between Germany and Barcelona. Traveling and getting to know other cultures have always been a passion of mine. Thanks to many years working in the hotel industry, I could fully explore and live this passion. Now I fly around the world as a flight attendant and also share my Yin Yoga, meditation and mindfulness practice with others.

When did I start Yin Yoga?

I got to know Yin Yoga for the first time in 2012 in Bali at the Yoga Barn and was immediately thrilled. Since the positions in Yin Yoga are not changed as often as in other yoga styles, you eventually stay in each position much longer. Therefore I felt immediately comfortable with the resulting deep relaxation at the end.

Why do I practise Yin Yoga?

In 2013 I started to practice yoga on a regular basis and especially my interest in Yin Yoga grew. I learned to deal with my body and feelings and how the different organs and meridians (energy paths) are stimulated by Yin Yoga. As a result this has had a positive effect on my health. Therefore I decided to get trained in Yin Yoga with Bety Aracil and Helga Baumgartner to dive deeper into the world of Yin Yoga based on Paul Grilley.

How do I stay in balance?

In my job I am travelling in different climates, time zones and obviously I am often in the air. This makes it all the more important for me that my health, body and mind are in balance. I do this by practicing Yin Yoga and with the help of Reiki, massages and holistic treatments. I am not only receiving but also giving treatments and Yin Yoga classes as I am trained in them, too.

Why do I teach Yin Yoga?

I want to inspire you to listen to your body more deeply. To feel it, move it and to experience for yourself what positive effects this has on your well-being and health. My approach is holistic and I believe that everything is connected. Find out for yourself and join me on this beautiful journey. Connect to your body, mind and soul.

Who are my teachers?

Thank you to all my teachers who I trained with to get a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga, Meditation, Breath Work, Qi Gong, Yoga Philosophy, Energy Work, Reiki, Holistic Body Treatments and alternative medicine. Just to name a few Bety Aracil, Helga Baumgartner, Pema Wangchen, Claudio San Martin, Alice Ruggeri, Merce Contreras, Sarasvati Jung and Gabi Zimmermann.
